There Was a Great Calm
Mark 4:36-41
The storm raged causing great fear in the hearts of the sailor apostles. They desperately awoke the Savior pleading for His help. He stilled the storm, and there was a great calm. The Savior asked the apostles why they were fearful.
The battle between faith and fear continues in our lives. We can be sure that faith in the Savior can triumph over any fear we face, no matter how great. He has the power to command the winds and sea. Certainly He has the power to command any source of fear we face as well.
This drawing is meant to depict the contrast between our darkest fears and our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the focal point of relief from the storm, and our hope for light and calm.
